Angela Hunt

Facilitator

Hello, I’m Angela. I’m a mum of a curious toddler who loves to explore indoors and outdoors, wherever she can. I’m also a qualified early childhood and primary school teacher, who currently teaches an equally curious class of Year 2 students.

In my experience as an educator, I have been witness to children learning so much through a mix of hands-on experience and open-ended activities, which help build their skills in problem solving and creative thinking. Exploring the natural world, no matter the season, allows children to take notice of the little things and make sense of what’s around them.

I hope that Little Galahs sparks an interest in nature-based learning for children and grown-ups alike!

Gaya Tartaglia

Facilitator

Hi, I'm Gaya. I am a qualified environmental scientist, and more recently, mother to an energetic, adventurous and outdoorsy little boy. My toddler and I love being outside and learning about our natural surrounds, whatever the weather!

I have also been involved in teaching children creative and critical thinking skills which has shown me just how much children can thrive in alternative learning settings.

As a mother, I've seen first hand the positive outcomes for my son in interacting and playing outside, as it utilises exploration and lateral thinking.

Bonus : it helps him channel his never-ending energy!

I hope Little Galahs creates opportunity for connection to nature and development in our little ones.
